The Problem We Saw
In 2021, our founders managed a network operations center at a Fortune 500 firm. During a critical outage at 3 a.m., their runbook referenced a gateway that had been decommissioned six months earlier. The correct topology existed nowhere — except inside the devices themselves. While the fix took twelve minutes, the incident cost six figures.
We realized the core problem: infrastructure changes faster than any team can document. Wiki articles drift. Spreadsheets get outdated. Diagrams drawn during a deployment sprint become fiction within weeks. The single source of truth was always right there — in the network itself — but teams kept creating and maintaining separate documentation that fell out of sync.
Founding the Solution
That night changed everything. By mid-2022, our team had built the first prototype of what would become NetDocGenAI — a continuous documentation engine that treats your live infrastructure as the single source of truth. Instead of asking engineers to write documentation after a change, we ask them to authorize us to discover the truth from the infrastructure itself.
We officially launched NetDocGenAI in Q3 2023. Within the first year, we grew to serve over 4,200 networks ranging from single-site operations to multi-region hybrid cloud deployments spanning thousands of nodes. Teams began seeing benefits immediately: runbooks stayed current, topology diagrams reflected reality, and most importantly, incidents resolved faster.
Our Mission
NetDocGenAI exists to make infrastructure transparent, traceable, and self-documenting.
We believe that every network team should have current, accurate documentation without the burden of manual authoring. We believe that incidents should be resolved faster because the right information is findable in seconds. We believe that compliance should be effortless because your documentation is always a reflection of your actual infrastructure. And we believe that this should work at any scale — from a single site to a distributed empire of thousands of nodes.
What We Value
Accuracy Above All
Documentation that is wrong is worse than no documentation. We surface confidence scores and flag discrepancies rather than silently guessing.
Speed Without Shortcuts
Fast and correct is the only acceptable combination. We obsess over latency but never compromise data quality.
Customer Empathy
We design for high-stakes moments — incidents, audits, onboarding. Critical information must be findable in under thirty seconds.
Radical Transparency
Your infrastructure data belongs to you. We never sell it, never train models on it without consent, never use it for anything but your documentation.
The People
We're a small, intensely focused team of network engineers, AI researchers, and infrastructure veterans who have all felt the pain of outdated documentation firsthand.
- Maya Chen (CEO) — 15 years in network operations. The NOC director whose incident sparked this company.
- Arjun Patel (CTO) — Former principal engineer at a major cloud provider. Built the distributed scanning engine.
- Sofia Reyes (Head of AI) — PhD in ML from Carnegie Mellon. Leads the NLP pipeline converting raw data into readable runbooks.
- Daniel Kim (VP Engineering) — 10 years shipping developer tools. Oversees all product integrations.
We're actively hiring. If you're passionate about solving infrastructure problems at scale, we want to hear from you.
